Problema com Catalyst 7.7 -.-

Bom galera, hoje resolvi dar uma geral no meu PC, atualizar, desfragmentar, essas coisas, eu usava o driver Catalyst 6.12, uma beleza, mas como ja estava no 7.7 decidi atualizar, instalei e o Net Framework 3 ( o 2 ou versão superior é requerido) e instalei normalmente o driver, reiniciei o PC como parte da instalação. Quando o PC ligou apareceu uma mensagem de erro ao iniciar o Windows e ao tentar abrir o Catalyst a mensagem se repete.

Minha VGA é uma X800XL

Symptoms:
MOM.implementation or CCC.implementation appear after installing Catalyst Software Suite

Solution:
To workaround this issue, please do the following:
Uninstall Catalyst Control Center
Reboot
Uninstall .Net Framework 2.0
Reboot
Reinstall .Net Framework 2.0 from: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en
Reboot
Reinstall Catalyst Control Center
Reboot

If the above procedure doesn't help, then:
Uninstall all ATI drivers and software using "ATI - Software Uninstall Utility" in Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs
Reboot the system
Delete the folder "ATI Technologies" under C:\Program Files
Reinstall Catalyst Software Suite

ATI Engineering has been advised of this issue and is investigating. Any updates will be published when they become available.

The Catalyst™ Control Center requires that the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 be installed. Without .NET version 2.0 installed, the Catalyst™ Control Center will not launch properly and the user will see an error message.

De qualquer forma, você pode, por exemplo, pegar só o pacote com os drivers, sem o CCC, e instalar um programa tipo o ATI Tray Tools (é isso o que eu faço aqui).

.Net framework 2.0 ok, mas o 3.0 que é mais novo tambem dá né?

Não, tem que ser estritamente o framework 2.0, é o que está escrito no release notes...
