Vcs que usam edonkey? nunca notaram pop-ups não? eu tinha notado, mas não imaginava o tanto desses programinhos chatos que tinham no meu cpu, passei um scan aki e achei 84 suspeitos...

Olhando numa lista, descobri que alguns desses suspeitos eram confirmados como spywares, mas mesmo assim fica a pergunta até qto esses programas atrapalham a vida da gente?

Remarks: A pop-up will appear during installation requesting permission to install Gator, whose spyware element is OfferCompanion. Gator files are installed even if the user opts out. The presence of Gator files is evidence of an action that was performed without a user's consent whether these components are activated or not.

Remarks: Also installed is a hidden file at \windows\explorer\explorer.exe, not be be mistaken for \windows\explorer.exe which is a valid Windows program file.

Users report it was installed without prior consent, it sends out a flurry of messages to www.2001-007.com with the IP 66.36.0.30, and virus scanners are detecting the presence of dlder.exe and explorer.exe as backdoor trojans. Advocates for the program insist this is probably only a heuristic alert set off by "something odd with their code" - packet sniffers, however, tell a different story as well as F-Secure at their Security Information Center. ClickTillUWin is distributed by Cydoor Technologies.

As of January 4, 2002, KaZaA has issued a new uninfected version. Go to www.kazaa.com/en/dlder.htm for more information and a link to a utility download that will remove all traces of the W32.DlDer.Trojan.

In addition, other versions of this program are listed in the Spyware List database with eZula and Altnet / Brilliant as offenders.

Remarks: FlashTrack is listed as the offender here because it is the only third party application (of many included) that is installed regardless of a user's choice to opt-out, and it remains after uninstalling the iMesh software with continued attempts at contact with its server even when the user is not connected to the Internet.

Upon program installation the user is given a choice to opt-in or opt-out of the numerous applications which track and report user information to a remote server. These are the offenders bundled with this software: FlashTrack, Cydoor, New.net, Hotbar (in association with DoubleClick and Engage, + others), Mindset (Blackstone Data Transponder), SaveNow (in association with WhenU.com), and Onflow.

In addition, an overwhelming number of users report system instability, during use and also after removal, resorting in many cases to a reinstallation of the OS.
